. 5 things on my bucket list | Listable Life.

Is it surprising to you that two days in a row I posted a blog including a list? Probably not!:)Last week, I participated in a Listable Life Meme that Nicole from Moments that Define Life hosts on her blog. I shared with you my 5 favorite tv shows and you learned that I liked weird, singing, animal people as a child.

Everyone has a bucket list. I don’t really have one typed up anywhere but I always have things I want to do and big things I’ve wanted to do for a long time.

1. Go to Alaska:

I was going to say an Alaskan cruise- but with the cruise ship crash playing all over the news, I changed my mind to just going to to Alaska and exploring on our own. In my younger years, Alaska wouldn’t have been on my radar, but as I get older, and the longer I am married to Ryan, I appreciate nature so much more. Now do I want to fish? Probably not- do I care to see a black bear closer than 100+ feet away. No thank you! But I want to smell the trees, and see the animals, (some from afar), and take pictures of God’s beauty and be a celebrity stalker of the guys from Deadliest Catch.

2. Build our own home:
I want to decide where the walls go, how I want the bedrooms, what rooms are where and everything else. I think it would be a fun process- as long as we had the funds to get what we wanted.  Oh and the decorating- Pinterest would become an even bigger obsession!

3. Go to Australia:
Good Day Mate- I’m going to make shrimp on the barbie.” I want to hold a Koala and see the Great Coral Reef, and ever since Oprah sent her audience there, I’ve been dying to go too. One day!!!

4. Attend an award show. The Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes. I’m not too picky- I want to win tickets to be able to dress up, spy on celebrities, and act all fancy!:)

5.  Be on The Amazing Race: Ryan and I talk about being on this show all the time. Travel the world, compete and win a million dollars all sound fabulous to us! I would have to be the driver of the car, because me reading a map, is like me reading in a different language. Seriously- my weakness. I would struggle with eating anything nasty, but I would love to solve puzzles and do obstacles together!

What are some things you want to accomplish in your lifetime?

Great list! I went on a cruise to Alaska with my parents a few years back, definitely wait until you are older. I think the average age on those cruises is 70, no joke. Would love, love, love to see attend an awards show, first pick The Golden Globes. Drink champagne with movie stars and wear a gorgeous gown. Sounds lovely!

Love your list. I don’t really have one yet. The only thing I can think of that I really want to do is to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Thank you!! Haha That’s what I heard about Alaskan cruise. We will wait to do that or just go on our own (no cruise) at some point.

Natalie that sounds like so much fun! I am a chicken of heights but this would be an amazing experience. :)

Nice list! Australia was on our list and we were actually able to make it happen for our 2 year wedding anniversary. It was nothing short of amazing! I had to break our trip recap into a 5-part series, but here’s my favorite: http://wadeupdate.blogspot.com/2010/11/australia-chronicles-part-3-heron.html
