.visitors | Family.

This past weekend, we had a fabulous time with some visitors! My parents, and 2 of my 3 nephews made the 14 hour car ride to spend the long weekend with us! We had lots of fun and today were just a little pooped out and just took a 3hr nap! Whoops!

They arrived late Thursday night and we enjoyed some pizza, they of course immediately played the iPads, and we just chatted before hitting the hay! Friday am, included a trip to target to get them toys.They got a slip n’ slide for the backyard and then each picked out a couple goodies to play with while visiting! They both enjoyed that and one tried picking out a $135.00 lego set which made me about throw up in my mouth. Good thing he stuck to the budget! LOL After playing in the slip n slide, we went to Dave and Busters for bowling and video games, and came home to cook out! Saturday we went to the pool, chick fil-a, played outside in the slip n’ slide and grilled out again- this time just some grilled chicken to put into a yummy salad since we snacked most of the day! Sunday- my mom and I cleaned upstairs in the morning while the kids played outside. We scrubbed floors, baseboards, blinds, and got the rest of upstairs organized and ready for the carpets to be cleaned. My dad and Ryan put together the crib and we now have most of the furniture we need for the nursery in there. We just need to buy the rocking chair cover & get the rocking chair from Ryan’s parents. We also are waiting to get a changing table cart (not the table since that is apart of our dresser) but a little station to put all the goodies. We then hit the pool, came home took naps (Nolan, Ryan and my dad) ate dinner, went mini golfing and to get ice-cream!This morning- they began the 14+ hour joy ride back home! 

We can’t wait to see them again in July!!!

Playing iPads! (Or the Kindle Fire according to Nolan)

We sat outside every morning enjoying the weather and slowly waking up! 

Nolan LOVES getting wet! He had so much fun on the slip n’ slide and in the pool. 

I was making dessert and came outside to see that Ryan had changed and was having just as much fun as the kids. He has the marks to prove it from sliding off the slip n’ slide into the grass. He has scratch marks and was red since he’s allergic to grass! The kids loved him playing with them!  Dre Dre came to keep Leo company and boy did they wear each other out. Leo has been sleeping for most of the day. He even went to the bathroom outside and then just laid on the patio! 

So grateful to have been able to spend time with my family! We wish we weren’t so far away and could do this all the time, someday that will happen again!
